Together We Can Strengthen The Future

 

At DuPont Pioneer, we believe the next generation must be actively engaged in agricultural science to ensure the ability to produce enough nutritious food to nurture an ever expanding world population. To help youth connect to science using real world experiences within the context of agriculture, we have assembled a collection of engaging free resources. We invite you to explore!

DuPont Pioneer offers High School STEM Day experiences throughout the year. These are interactive half-day sessions held at our Johnston, Iowa campus. The sessions provide students with a glimpse into the exciting world of agricultural science and future career opportunities in STEM.

In 2017, four sessions will be offered:

  • Thursday, April 6th, 2017 (morning and afternoon)
  • Thursday, November 16th, 2017 (morning and afternoon)

Morning sessions are scheduled from 9:00 to 11:45 AM. Afternoon sessions are scheduled from 1:00 - 3:45 PM.

For each session:

  • Advanced registration is required for students, chaperones and teachers.
  • Registrations must be completed 10 days prior to the event.
  • Attendees are capped at 60 for each session (this includes students, teachers and chaperones).
  • Should your group exceed 15 attendees, reach out to tours@pioneer.com as space is limited.

No additions or substitutions of students, teachers or chaperones can be allowed 10 days before the event.

What can you expect during High School STEM Day?

  • Hands-on activities in a variety of STEM fields
  • An opportunity to learn about the many different kinds of careers available in agriculture
  • A chance to meet Pioneer researchers and scientists in a variety of fields

Directions to Carver Center:
From I-80/35 take exit #131 for Merle Hay Road. At the exit ramp, go right onto Merle Hay Road. Take Merle Hay Road north about 1 mile to Pioneer Parkway. Turn left and take Pioneer Parkway about 1.5 miles to North Drive. Turn left into the parking lot. Buses should unload at the curb in front of the main entrance and park either in the signed bus parking area in the circle drive or in the lot to the east of the Carver Center. Cars and vans are welcome to park in either lot adjacent to the Carver Center.
