Community Betterment
Pioneer is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where its customers and employees live and work, while also ensuring that all activities are aligned with strategic objectives and support DuPont megatrends. Because of that, it is important to manage active partnerships with key stakeholder organizations whose goals align with those of Pioneer. Pioneer supports organizations whose goals align with Pioneer’s goals to improve the lives of customers, provide opportunities for employee participation, and further enhance the brand.
Primary Focus Areas:
- Science Education
- Food Security
- Community Betterment
Pioneer employees generously give their time, skills, and monetary support to many charitable organizations. Pioneer supports these efforts through programs such as matching funds donated to eligible educational institutions, corporate sponsorship of events, and recognizing a "Vital Volunteer" employee each quarter.
Examples include:
- Iowa International Center, for the Pioneer Hi-Bred & Iowa International Center Dialogue Series
- Wesley Life, toward their annual Meals on Wheels event
- Muscular Dystrophy Association of Central Iowa, for the MDA Muscle Walk
- Easter Seals Iowa, toward the Rural Solutions Program
- Farm Safety 4 Just Kids, for continuing efforts to educate the next generation about farm safety.
Many Pioneer employees serve on boards of external organizations. These relationships are not only key to helping us align our talent in the best way, but they also provide other companies with expertise from our well-educated and knowledgeable employees.
