Vice President, Crop Genetics Research & Development
John Arbuckle of DuPont Pioneer is Vice President, Crop Genetics Research and Development. In his role, he is responsible for providing strategic direction for global product development and driving innovation to create new value for our customers.
John first joined Pioneer in the Molecular Markers group in 1992. He held various positions in the Markers and Genomics groups, including Principal Investigator of a Discovery Research program aimed at developing new technologies for gene discovery and genetic analysis, ultimately resulting in a patent-protected Pioneer technology.
John became the Research Director for Global Marker Technologies in 2008 and accepted the appointment to lead Field Research Information Management in 2012. Then in February 2013, John served as Senior Research Director for Global Marker and Research Information Technologies, where he managed the functional units that deliver production genotyping capabilities and genetic analysis information systems globally and for all crops. In addition to these responsibilities, John served as the DuPont Pioneer Research Lead responsible for developing the strategic vision and supporting framework aligning Pioneer and Pannar Research for all crops and disciplines.
John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Illinois State University.
Bobst, Christine - Director, Executive Plans
Director, Executive Plans
Since joining Pioneer as Employee Relations manager in 1997, Christine has served in a number of leadership roles, most recently as director, Organizational Change Initiatives. Other roles have included: senior Human Resources leader for Asia, Europe and Africa; leader responsible for transformation of the global talent management function; and strategic Human Resources leader for the global production and research teams.
Experience prior to Pioneer, includes providing human resources support and strategic counsel in industries such as agricultural equipment manufacturing, consumer fulfillment, and insurance.
Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications/public relations at the University of Northern Iowa, has a Human Resource-Related Law certification, and is designated as a Global Professional in Human Resources.
Conslato, Laurie - Vice President, Finance
Vice President, Finance
Laurie Conslato is vice president of Finance for DuPont Pioneer.
Prior to her current role, Laurie served as Finance integration leader for the Pannar acquisition and as director for DuPont Investor Relations for the Agriculture and Nutrition and Health segments in Johnston, Iowa. She also held various financial leadership positions in the United States and internationally, including European Finance manager for DuPont Performance Coatings Refinish business in Germany, Global Finance manager for Tyvek® and Building Innovations, Global Cash manager in Treasury as well as leading the U.S. manufacturing facilities accounting for DuPont Titanium Technologies in Mississippi. She has been a DuPont employee since 1990.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in Finance and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is also a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Debnam, Barney - Chief Information Officer

Barney Debnam is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for DuPont Pioneer and serves on the DuPont Pioneer Leadership Team (DPLT). As CIO, Barney is responsible for strategic considerations of information technology and process standardization in all areas of the Pioneer business (such as Research and Development, Regulatory, Production, Supply Chain and Sales), utilizing a variety of information technology delivery models.
Since joining DuPont in 2001, Barney has worked on a variety of global efforts, including e-transactions, tax, supply chain, top line growth, mobility, acquisitions, divestitures and digital marketing. Before being named to his current role, he served as CIO for the DuPont Crop Protection business.
Prior to joining DuPont, Barney led Precision Farming efforts at GROWMARK in Bloomington, Illinois, before serving as an early employee in two agricultural software startups in Fort Collins, Colorado. Prior to moving to Pioneer headquarters in Johnston, Iowa, he served on the board of the Kent Agricultural 4-H Center and as a fundraising leader for Woodberry Forest School.
Barney received his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech in Biological Systems Engineering and has completed the coursework for a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a loyal supporter of the Texas Aggies and Virginia Tech Hokies.
Barney is from a row crop farm in Maryland, where his family has been farming for generations.
Flint, Jerry - Vice President, Industry Affairs and Regulatory

Vice President, Industry Affairs and Regulatory
Jerry Flint leads Industry Affairs and Regulatory (IA&R) at DuPont Pioneer – a global, integrated team focused on delivering new plant biotechnology from the R&D pipeline to the commercial business, and ultimately, the hands of farmer customers.
In this role, Jerry directs global regulatory strategy, regulatory science, global policy and scientific affairs, stakeholder and community engagement, product registration and stewardship efforts. Under his leadership, Pioneer has achieved more efficient regulatory approvals for farmers in developed countries to grow and export biotech grain and is bringing biotech crop cultivation to farmers in new parts of the world.
Jerry represents Pioneer on the Crop Life International Plant Biotech Steering Committee, the Biotechnology Industry Organization Food and Agriculture Governing Board and the Council for Biotechnology Information Executive Committee. In 2013, he helped found GMO Answers, which is a new effort sponsored by DuPont, through its biotechnology industry association partners, to openly address consumer questions.
Jerry is a member of the DuPont Pioneer Leadership Team and the DuPont Biotech Steering Team.
Throughout his 20-plus year career in the industry, Jerry has enjoyed the challenge of working with growers, scientists and those throughout agriculture to bring new technology to market. Jerry earned his Bachelor of Science in agriculture from Purdue University and his Master of Science and doctorate in crop science from the University of Kentucky.
Fuerer, Cornel B. - Associate General Counsel

Associate General Counsel
Cornel B. Fuerer is associate general counsel for DuPont Pioneer. Cornel joined DuPont as an attorney in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1995.
From 1995 through 1999, Cornel served in a number of commercial law assignments, counseling several of the company’s business units in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2000, he transferred to the DuPont Hong Kong offices. In this role, Cornel counseled several business units in the Asia Pacific region and represented the Legal function in South Korea and ASEAN. In 2004, he relocated to Wuppertal, Germany, and was appointed Legal manager, Germany, advising the DuPont Performance Coatings unit. From 2007 to 2012, Cornel relocated to St. Louis, Mo., to serve as the vice president, general counsel and company secretary of Solae, by then a joint venture between DuPont and Bunge. From 2012 to 2013, Cornel served as the corporate secretary of DuPont.
Cornel earned his law degree from the University of Geneva School of Law and holds a master's degree from the New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Switzerland, New York and Iowa.
Gutterson, Neal - Vice President, Agricultural Biotechnology

Neal Gutterson, Ph.D., is vice president, Agricultural Biotechnology (ABT), DuPont Pioneer. In this capacity, Neal is responsible for the leadership of all ABT functions, the delivery of the Pioneer transgenic pipeline and the successful execution of the overall Pioneer Research strategy consistent with the needs of the commercial business and farmer customers globally.
Neal built his career through a series of progressively more senior research and development roles at biotechnology start-up companies, including Advanced Genetic Sciences and DNA Plant Technology Corporation. In 2002, he joined Mendel Biotechnology as vice president, Research & Development. Most recently, Neal served as president, chief executive officer and board member of Mendel Biotechnology.
Neal has an extensive history of professional memberships, and he currently sits on the CIMMYT Board of Trustees where he is program committee chair. He is also widely published in scientific journals and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
Neal holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Yale University and a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. He has also attended the Stanford Business School Emerging Companies Executive Program. Neal is named inventor on more than 30 patents and pending patent applications.
Munoz, Alejandro - Vice President, Global Commercial Business
Vice President, Global Commercial Business
Alejandro Munoz is vice president, Global Commercial Business, which includes responsibility for all DuPont Pioneer commercial markets worldwide. He moved into this role in 2014 and is a member of the DuPont Pioneer Leadership Team.
Since joining the business in 1981, Alejandro has worked in a variety of geographies – including North America, Europe, Argentina, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. He previously served as vice president, Americas and Global Production; vice president and regional director for North America; and vice president, Europe Operations. He began his career as quality control manager in Latin America.
Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agronomy from the University of Costa Rica. He completed specialization courses in finance and accounting at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Graduate School of Business and in marketing at the University of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
O'Connor, Judd - Vice President, Integrated Operations and Commercial Effectiveness

Judd O’Connor is Vice President, Integrated Operations and Commercial Effectiveness. In his role, he leads the centralized Operations function, which includes Business Improvement, Engineering, Facilities Services and Real Estate, Production, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Safety, Health, and Environment. He is also responsible for Global Commercial Effectiveness and the Seed Treatment Enterprise.
Judd first joined DuPont Pioneer in 1999 as an area sales manager and has held various leadership positions in the sales organization, including business director and vice president. Most recently, he served as President, DuPont Latin America.
Judd earned his Bachelor of Science in agriculture business from Kansas State University.
Patrick, Michael - Director, Human Resources

Michael Patrick is the Human Resources (HR) director for DuPont Pioneer. He joined DuPont in April 2012 as Human Resources director of Global Talent Acquisition and served as a member of senior HR leadership teams. Prior to joining DuPont, Michael was vice president - Staffing at Honeywell International, where he was responsible for leading the design and implementation of a global staffing Center of Excellence. Before that, he was director - Workforce Recruitment and Planning for Northrop Grumman Information Technology.
Michael holds an MBA from George Mason University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Rowe, Jeff - Vice President, Strategic Services and Markets
Vice President, Strategic Services and Markets
Since July 1, 2015 Jeff Rowe is Vice President, Strategic Services and Markets and serves on the DuPont Pioneer Leadership Team (DPLT). In his role, Jeff is responsible for EncircaSM Services and for further developing market opportunities for Plenish® high oleic soybeans and next generation soybean output traits, including potential collaboration and licensing activities as well as advancing the United Soybean Board relationship.
Prior to this, Jeff was named Regional Director, DuPont Pioneer Europe in 2011 and was responsible for leading business operations across Europe. He coordinated and led the Pioneer Europe Management Team, including the business units as well as the functional areas of the business such as sales and marketing, supply chain, production, research, legal, communications, government affairs, human resources, finance and administration.
In 2008, Jeff was named Vice President, Biotech Affairs and Regulatory, with responsibility for Pioneer product stewardship; biotech and regulatory affairs; regulatory science and compliance; registration; government and industry relations; community investment; and sustainable agriculture and development.
Jeff started his career with Pioneer in 1995 in the Supply Management department. He also gained experience working in Research, Information Management and Regulatory. After completing law school, Jeff joined the Pioneer Legal department in 2001 and served as corporate counsel until 2008.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in agricultural economics and has completed the coursework toward a Master of Science degree in plant molecular biology, also at Iowa State University. Jeff earned his Juris Doctorate from Drake Law School, and a Global Executive MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and the London School of Economics.
In 2012 Jeff was chosen to join the 2:13 PM 7/10/2015board of directors of the European Seed Association (ESA), and in 2013 he was elected to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) Executive Committee.
Jeff is from a row crop and livestock farm in Illinois where his family has been farming for more than four generations.

Paul E. Schickler is president of DuPont Pioneer, the advanced seed genetics business of DuPont. In this role, which he has held since 2007, he has continued to expand Pioneer’s global business by remaining focused on innovation that improves local productivity and profitability of farmers in more than 90 countries. Since joining Pioneer in 1974, Schickler has served in a variety of finance and administrative leadership roles throughout the business, including vice president of International Operations from 1999 to 2007. He currently serves on the DuPont Committee on Agricultural Innovation and Productivity in the 21st Century, the DuPont Agriculture Decision Board, and the DuPont Operating Team.
Schickler is a graduate of Drake University, where he received Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in business administration. He currently serves as Board Chair of Grand View University. He is on the Board of Directors of the Cultivation Corridor, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, The Greater Des Moines Partnership, and the Iowa Business Council. He also serves on the Chicago Council’s Global Agricultural Development Initiative Advisory Group (GADI) and Iowa Partnership for Economic Progress (IPEP). A strong contributor to the community, Schickler is an active supporter of United Way and The World Food Prize Foundation.
Wilson, Marv - Director, Platform Management
Director, Platform Management
At DuPont Pioneer, Marv Wilson serves as the director of the Platform Management group. In this role, Marv leads teams to identify issues and risks and to develop risk mitigation strategies. Platform management delivers business-wide planning, portfolio valuation, program management, global governance, compliance execution and resource planning. The team also works to develop alliances with technology providers and oversees out licensing opportunities.
Marv joined Pioneer in 2003 as a senior marketing manager, Global Oilseeds, and then served as director of North America Marketing Operations. Prior to assuming his current role, Marv was the director of Agricultural Biotechnology (ABT) Business Operations where he oversaw ABT operational effectiveness.
Marv joined the Iowa Soybean Association in 1999 and previously served as Executive Vice President for the Iowa Soybean Promotion Board.
Marv holds Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from Iowa State University.
