DuPont Provides Homerun Gift to Ridgetown Campus Student Service and Alumni Centre

MAY 31, 2013 - RIDGETOWN, ON – The University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus is pleased to accept a $200,000 gift from DuPont’s advanced seed business, DuPont Pioneer, that helped the Ridgetown Campus Foundation exceed its $3.5 million campaign goal for a new Student Service and Alumni Centre.

The new Student Service and Alumni Centre will provide a one-stop location for all students and visitors to campus, including those who are considering Ridgetown for their future post-secondary education.

“Pioneer is pleased to invest in the education of our future agricultural leaders. Many of our employees, seed growers and customers are graduates of OAC’s Ridgetown Campus and we are eager to give back to this community,” says Ian Grant, DuPont Pioneer Canada president.

“I'm thrilled to accept this very generous gift on behalf of the campus. We're fortunate to have this leading agribusiness organization located in very close proximity to our campus where they continue to be a strong community partner and share our passion for the future of agriculture,” said Ken McEwan, director, Ridgetown Campus. “Thanks to DuPont Pioneer we are planning to open the doors of this new student service facility this September.”
