Following the Pioneer Overseas Corporation Research Group’s going into activity in May 1985 in Turkey, Pioneer has swung into business under the corporate name of Pioneer Tohumculuk Inc. Co. in its Istanbul headquarter in April 1986 along with the principle set at driving the Turkish farmer to earn more.

After one year subsequent to its foundation, a plant processing 6.000 tons of seed p.a. at full capacity was established on the Adana-Karatas highway.

With its intensive network embodying sales representation offices in 7 major regions in Turkey-wide such as Thrace, Adapazari, Bursa, Aydin, Adana, Blacksea and GAP, the company renders service, primarily focused on Corn and Sunflower hybrids, to the Turkish Farmer. Attaching significant importance in particular on research and product development activities, Pioneer Tohumculuk, serves its varieties, developed along with regular improvement and testing studies, having remarkable yielding potentials and that show the optimum performance in every sort of cultivation conditions to Turkish farmers in real time with United States and Europe, and spearheads the process of yielding more profit for them.

Genetically improving and developing varieties with very high levels of resistance against the Orobanche disease that considerably impacts the Sunflower yield and even leads to zero yield especially in the Thrace Region, the Sunflower Improvement and Research Center carries on its activities in the Ahmetbey Borough of Lüleburgaz in Thrace and makes valuable contributions to the Turkish economy.

Being the market leader in Silage Corn and Silage Bacteria (Inoculants) in addition to the Corn and Sunflower varieties that have high yielding potentials, Pioneer has been serving the high-performance silage corn and silage bacteria to the Turkish farmers. Especially raising the quality in Silage and thereby augmenting the meat and milk yields per livestock, culminating in more profit to the Turkish Farmer, the Silage Bacteria (Inoculants) has been found out and developed in United States after long-lasting studies.
