Bill Mahanna, Ph.D., Dipl. ACAN

Bill Mahanna, Ph.D., Dipl. ACAN

Bill is the Pioneer Global Nutritional Sciences Manager for Corteva Agriscience. He has been with Pioneer for 32 years and serves as a collaborative, associate professor in the animal science department at Iowa State University and a visiting professor at Bila Tserkva State Agrarian University in the Ukraine. Bill was raised on a Holstein dairy in upstate New York and has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Cornell University with a master’s degree and doctorate in dairy science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dan Wiersma, M.S.

Dan Wiersma, M.S.

Daniel is the Alfalfa Business Manager, Global for Corteva Agriscience. Dan serves on Pioneer’s Forage Leadership Team and is the lead for Pioneer’s corn silage working group. His passion is to help farmers and dairymen succeed in their operations by better understanding and using forage products and technology. Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in agronomy.

Adam Krull, DVM, Ph.D.

Adam Krull, DVM, Ph.D.

Adam is the Senior Dairy Veterinarian/Nutritionist for Corteva Agriscience. He provides technical support to dairy producers regarding forage production, harvest, storage and preservation in a manner that improves animal productivity and health. Adam received his training from Iowa State University, which encompasses many important aspects of the dairy industry. This training includes a bachelor’s degree in dairy science, a doctorate in veterinary medicine and a doctorate in veterinary microbiology.

Nelson Lobos, Ph.D.

Nelson Lobos, Ph.D.

Nelson is the Senior Nutritionist for Corteva Agriscience. Nelson is focused on supporting livestock accounts with nutrition and product training, managing service calls, field trials, and interacting with key account contributors. Nelson has a M.S. and Ph.D. in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has an undergraduate degree in agribusiness from the Universidad Austral de Chile. He has a strong background in research, project management and international agriculture, with previous experience working across business, government, NGO and academic sectors.
