Pioneer Hi-Bred Contributes $25,000 to North Dakota Flood Relief

Contribution will be disbursed through ND Farm Bureau Foundation

DES MOINES, Iowa, May 11, 2009 – Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, has contributed $25,000 to support relief efforts caused by widespread flooding across North Dakota. Funds have been given to the North Dakota Farm Bureau (NDFB) Foundation which will disburse the money to key agencies helping the agricultural community recover from recent flooding.

“It’s extremely important we all dedicate our efforts to help people whose homes and farms are affected by the recent flooding in North Dakota,” says Ron Truax, account manager for Pioneer in Jamestown, N.D. “Our hearts go out to those impacted and we are confident they will recover and rebuild. We’re making this contribution as long-time members of this community, helping our neighbors get through this challenge.”

The NDFB Foundation Leaving Pioneer.com is a “clearinghouse” for funds to be donated and dispersed throughout various state and local charitable agencies across the state. Focused on greatest need and underserved communities, the NDFB board will ensure that all funding collected through it and earmarked for the flood relief will be given away fairly and safely.
