Narrow-Row Corn Production – When Does it Increase Yields?

Nearly twenty years of research on corn production in narrow rows (less than 30 inches) has yielded variable and sometimes confusing results. Planting corn in narrow rows provides a more equally spaced growing environment for each plant, but not always an increase in grain yield.
