Pioneer Business

Pioneer began operations in South Africa in 1992 and has made significant progress over the past several years.

As the Pioneer business has grown in South Africa, so has the infrastructure and support team needed to support this growth. A new production facility was completed in 2003 that will allow Pioneer to meet growing demands in South Africa and will serve as part of our global sourcing capabilities. Research also has acquired a new farm that provides additional land for research in a more secure area.

The Pioneer team has introduced neutron moisture meter technology in South Africa to help farmers make planting decisions based on soil moisture each season. This program has been tremendously successful, improving customer productivity, Pioneer business performance, and earning a DuPont Sustainable Growth Award in 2003.

Pioneer® brand products are sold through an exclusive dealer system.
