Mike Gumina, Vice President, Production and Business Improvement

Mike Gumina is vice president of Production and Business Improvement with responsibility for production operations, supply logistics and quality assurance of Pioneer seed operations around the world. Mike is also responsible for the Business Improvement programs such as Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO 9000 and related processes. He is a member of the Pioneer Enterprise Leadership Council.

Mike joined Pioneer in 1979 as an agronomist at Morton, Illinois. He later became the location’s assistant plant manager. After working as plant manager at the Princeton and St. Joseph, Illinois, Supply Management locations, Mike became the director of Supply Planning and Logistics. He became vice president of Supply Management in 2002 and the vice president for Production and Business Improvement in 2009.

A native of Virginia, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Seed Trade Association and serves on the Board of Directors for ChildServe .
