DES MOINES, Iowa, April 5, 2006 – Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., a subsidiary of DuPont, was recognized as the Des Moines Human Rights Commission 2006 Business and Industry Human Rights award winner at the Commission’s Annual Human Rights Symposium today. The award is given annually to a business or industry organization that promotes an effective equal opportunity/affirmative action work environment as well as devotes resources for the betterment of the greater Des Moines community. Deb Brewer, manager of Inclusion & Diversity, accepted the award on behalf of Pioneer.

Emily Chafa, interim director of the Des Moines Human Rights Commission, noted, “Pioneer actively supports diversity in its organization through special events such as its Multicultural Day, and employee networks such as its Latin Network and Asian American Network.
