Pioneer Revamps www.pioneer.com Based on Grower Needs, Wants

Relaunched site features new content, streamlined design, updated search engine

DES MOINES, Iowa, March 2, 2007 - Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., has relaunched its website - www.pioneer.com - to bring growers and other users updated content, improved navigation and a more user-friendly, results-driven search engine.

Pioneer focused on feedback from growers, Pioneer customers, employees and media to drive the Web site relaunch project.

"Our goal is to improve the user's experience, including making the site easier to navigate and loading it with even more useful content," says Mary Loeffelholz, Pioneer web manager. "Visitors will recognize that the relaunched site includes content representing many areas within Pioneer, including communications, products, agronomy, technology and job postings in the Careers section, to name a few. We've looked at every page and made updates to offer visitors the latest information available."

Visitors will be greeted with an updated home-page design that provides quick access to all sections of the site, including Careers, Research, Agronomy & Nutrition, Products & Services, and an online Media Room. New information, including a "Pioneer Around the Globe" section, has been added. This area, located in the "About Pioneer" section of the site, includes the latest news from Pioneer's global ag development, worldwide products, and sustainability in various countries.

Additionally, the site includes an improved search engine with high accuracy. The ability to search seed product numbers has been enhanced; if a user types in a hybrid or variety number, the system returns with the product profile, locating it in North America by the user's zip code.

"We wanted to update the design and make the overall site easier to use for growers and other visitors to our site," says Loeffelholz. "The home page is streamlined, and the latest Pioneer news is refreshed regularly, so frequent site visitors see new information just about every time they log on."

The newly updated site also continues to include access to the Pioneer GrowingPoint® website Leaving Pioneer.com, another Pioneer website which provides a variety of local agronomic, product and yield data information to registered users, both customers and prospective customers.
