Pioneer Business

Pioneer began operations in Italy in 1982, and currently sells seed of proprietary Pioneer® brand corn, sunflower, sorghum, and sudangrass hybrids, as well as varieties of soybean, alfalfa, soft and durum wheat, and inoculants. For organic production, Pioneer offers also a broad lineup of corn, sunflower, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa seeds of organic origin. Pioneer has also added services and product additives through our "Operative Marketing" programs. Most importantly, nutritional trials are run to determine the best management and most efficient utilization of Pioneer® brand products.

Products are distributed across Italy through a network of ISO 9002-certified professional sales representatives who form the vital link between Pioneer and Italian farmers. The representative works directly with the customer to obtain orders and distribute products. Italy also has approximately 80 Technical Sales Specialists who work with the customers to ensure they choose the best hybrid/variety for their specific needs.

The Company also markets crop-specific Pioneer® brand inoculants: 1155 for hay, and Pioneer® brand products 1188, 1132, 1189, 11A44, 11C33, and 11G32 for use on various silages and high-moisture grains.
