Improving the Quality of Life in our World.®
Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., is committed to helping improve the quality of life in the communities where its customers and employees live and work. The Community Investment department develops, implements and provides charitable programs to support quality of life initiatives on behalf of Pioneer and its employees. The Corporate Giving Grant Program provides an opportunity for eligible non-profit organizations to request grant funding directly from the Company.
Pioneer is interested in supporting non-profit programs that have broad-based funding support and measurable results. All non-profit organizations that do not fall within our ineligibility specifications may apply for a contribution. Priority consideration is given to programs or organizations that involve Pioneer employees, sales representatives, customers or growers, particularly if they are located in or near a community with a Pioneer facility.
Focal Areas
Through financial contributions and the volunteer efforts of its employees, Pioneer supports programs and organizations that make a difference in its primary focus areas-agriculture, farm safety and science education. Programs and organizations that do not fall within the primary focus areas but have Pioneer employee, retiree, or sales representative involvement and endorsement are eligible for potential contributions.
Employee Programs
Pioneer is proud to make and encourage both financial contributions and volunteer efforts to non-profit organizations by our employees. Three programs - Matching Gift, Team Matching Gift and Volunteer Grant Programs - are at the core of these involvement efforts. Employee Programs must be initiated by interested employees rather than organizations. Retirees, as well as current employees, are eligible for the Matching Gift program. Specific Program guidelines are available on the Pioneer intranet or by contacting the Community Investment offices at (800) 247-6803 Ext. 6867.
Contract sales representatives are not eligible for Employee Programs. They are, however, encouraged to apply for grants to eligible non-profit organizations through the Corporate Giving Grant Program.
Contributions are paid quarterly by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. Community Investment reserves the right to refuse any grant request or change guidelines without notice in accordance with Community Investment budget, program guidelines or conflicts with Pioneer values.
