DuPont Announces 2004 Volunteer Recognition Honorees

Pioneer employees honored for their efforts to improve their communities

DES MOINES, Iowa, Jan. 6, 2005 - Eight Pioneer employees were recently added to the DuPont Volunteer Recognition award recipient list for their impact on the communities in which they work and live. Established in 1998, the annual DuPont recognition program aims to support the volunteer spirit of its employees by honoring those who are exceptional contributors - both of their time and talents - to their communities.

A $1,000 grant will be given on behalf of each honoree to the organization listed. These organizations are located in the United States, Argentina, and Australia.

The 2004 Pioneer award recipients and the not-for-profit organizations they represent include:

Iowa:

Shari Biller, Habitat for Humanity
Mary Ellen Lewis, United Way of Central Iowa
Pramod Mahajan, Asian American Council
John Washburn, Dream Team of RAGBRAI
James Wong, Meredith Drive Reformed Church - Global Missions Team

Outside of Iowa:

Kenneth Price, Woodland, Calif., Rotary Club of Woodland Sunrise
Marcelo Platero, Argentina, Club de Leones de Arrecifes
David Coddington, Australia, Narrandera Recreational Fishing Club, Inc.
