Pioneer produces, markets and sells hybrid seed corn in nearly 70 countries worldwide. The company also markets and sells hybrids or improved varieties of soybean, sunflower, canola, rice, sorghum, alfalfa, and wheat, as well as forage and grain additives. Worldwide, Pioneer sells products through a variety of organizations, including wholly owned subsidiaries, joint ventures, sales representatives, and independent dealers.

Research and Product Development develops hybrids of corn, sorghum, sunflower, canola, and rice, and varieties of soybean, alfalfa, wheat, and canola for worldwide markets. The group operates more than 90 primary research locations involved in developing and testing new products.

Hybrids and varieties are developed at primary research locations and tested at thousands of other locations in order to be sure products are adapted to a wide range of growing environments.

Supply Management is responsible for collecting forecasting information from Pioneer operations around the world and ensuring a supply of product that enhances the company's ability to be a reliable supplier of high quality genetics worldwide. This group determines how much seed is needed to meet demand, decides where that seed should be grown, produces the seed, and manages inventory, quality assurance and distribution. Supply Management operates over 70 Pioneer production locations around the world, which grow, condition and distribute seed products.

Pioneer is registered to the ISO 9000:2001 standard in order to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations. Pioneer Hi-Bred also has a variety of support operations including information management, and value-added services.
