Judith E. McKay, Vice President and General Counsel

Judith E. McKay is vice president and general counsel for Pioneer Hi-Bred with responsibility for the Pioneer Global Legal function. She also serves on the Enterprise Leadership Council and is the Pioneer chief compliance officer.

Before joining Pioneer, Judith was chief administrative officer and general counsel for DuPont Canada, which included responsibility for Legal, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs. She also led the DuPont Canada Operating Team, which is responsible for governance, risk management and infrastructure.

Judith graduated from McMaster University, located in Hamilton, Ontario, with an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. She received her L.L.B. from the University of Toronto and is a registered patent and trademark agent, receiving the J. Edward Maybee award for highest standing in the Patent Agency qualifying examinations.

In 2005 Judith received one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards from the Women’s Executive Network. She was also a finalist in the Litigation Management category of the 2008 Canadian General Counsel Awards. She served as a director for the Association of Canadian General Counsel, as an advisory panel member for the Association of Corporate Counsel, and as a campaign cabinet member for Sheridan Institute of Technology. She is a frequent commentator and speaker at business and legal seminars and conferences.
