Agronomy

Agronomists work to improve the agronomic traits in crops to increase productivity to our customers. Engineering

Engineering is an organization-wide resource to address our needs for applying automation and engineering technologies to both research and production operations. This includes a wide range of activities -- from project management of 100,000 sq. ft. production facilities to developing and supporting instrumentation for DNA molecular analysis. The engineering staff is a unique blend of knowledge and technical skills encompassing civil and mechanical engineering, molecular biology, electrical and electrical systems, information technology, agricultural engineering, computer science and laboratory instrumentation.

Research

Talented, highly motivated scientists will find a variety of career choices and opportunities for advancement. We have more than 1,800 researchers in 25 countries working to develop products that positively impact productivity and profitability for our customers. Our researchers work in several areas, including strategic planning and resource allocation, trait and technology development, product characterization, technology development, product testing and evaluation, regulatory science, process improvement, compliance and plant breeding in more than eight crops.

The seed industry is a leader in the use of biotechnology, genomics, and proteomics as research tools. Combinations of these and many other technologies are used to develop and enhance products for customers.

Supply Management and Production

In Supply Management, you'll be a part of a team that orchestrates one million acres of cropland worldwide in support of moving the latest, highest-quality genetics from research into the hands of the world's farmers. Some 2,500 Pioneer employees manage field activities and seed production, and ultimately assure our products are packaged and readied for delivery to customers.

Supply Planning & Logistics, Supply Support, and Production Operations are the main areas of focus with the latter group comprising a network of 90 plus production facilities in 33 countries. Among the diverse career specialties are agronomists, statisticians, analysts, production technicians, logistics and laboratory specialists, warehouse and distribution coordinators, insurance and contract services, as well as a variety of management disciplines.
