Pioneer Introduces New 2008 Corn Hybrids for Indiana

New genetics backed by insect protection traits and herbicide flexibility

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Aug. 10, 2007 - Pioneer Hi-Bred announces the release of 41 new Pioneer® brand corn hybrids for the 2008 growing season in Indiana.

"The new hybrids for Indiana reflect our leadership in advancing yield potential while continuing to introduce insect and herbicide technology in our newest genetic platforms," says Duane Frederking, Pioneer product information manager for Indiana. "We are extremely excited about the 13 new Pioneer hybrids offering the triple stack - Herculex® XTRA^ technology in combination with Roundup Ready® Corn 2. Herculex XTRA provides corn rootworm protection, as well as protection from black cutworm, western bean cutworm and European corn borer. This multiple pest protection is a necessity for our customers."

In addition, two new hybrids will offer the multiple pest insect protection of Herculex XTRA. Pioneer also is introducing eight hybrids with the Herculex® I and Roundup Ready Corn 2 genes, 10 hybrids with the Roundup Ready Corn 2 gene, one conventional hybrid, two white hybrids and five waxy hybrids.

All hybrids with Herculex technology contain the LibertyLink® gene.
