Pioneer Livestock Nutrition Center - Livestock Performance Trials

Pioneer is the only manufacturer of silage inoculants in the United States that has its own livestock research facility. Located in Polk City, Iowa, the Pioneer Livestock Nutrition Center (PLNC) is dedicated to continual forage additive product development and performance testing. With this information, Pioneer helps you - and your customers - select the best grain or silage inoculants for your particular needs.

At the PLNC, prototype inoculants already evaluated under a rigorous product development process are tested in full-scale, animal feeding trials. Combining fermentation and animal trial data from multiple locations, allows Pioneer to deliver the most tested, most trusted grain and forage inoculant products and management information.

Research for Livestock Producer Needs

Pioneer has been conducting livestock performance trials in affiliation with public universities and government research facilities for more than 25 years. Trials at Pioneer focus on improving the rate of fiber and starch digestibility and preserving protein quality in order to improve the feed efficiency in swine, dairy and beef operations. These studies allow Pioneer to help you meet your individual livestock performance goals. Pioneer trials demonstrating extended bunklife and improved dry matter recovery help ensure that the silage you produce has the maximum feed value.
