Herculex® XTRA Insect Protection

Herculex XTRA Insect Protection provides in-seed protection against the broadest spectrum of insects available to growers in the marketplace, including corn borer, corn rootworm, western bean cutworm, black cutworm and fall armyworm. The photo compares corn with the Herculex XTRA trait to a conventional corn hybrid in an insect-infected field in Illinois.

Herculex® RW Rootworm Protection

The Herculex RW Rootworm Protection trait protects corn roots against damaging corn rootworm larvae. The protection lies within the seed itself, rather than through insecticides. Shown above are corn roots from the same corn rootworm-infested field; the corn root on the left contains the Herculex RW trait and the root on the right is a conventional corn hybrid.
