Bill Kuhn, former Maize Product Development research director, retired from Pioneer in Sept. 2006 after a distinguished career of 32 years. His career focused on maize product development research, where he was initially a corn breeder and then an administrator focused on supporting the development of superior maize hybrids for growers in North America and Europe.
Dr. Kuhn helped develop or directed others in the creation and advancement of many commercial corn products that have significantly impacted North America and European corn growers' profitability. He was directly involved in the development of more than 52 maize inbred lines and six maize hybrids. He also provided leadership to numerous groups and has served on many teams within Pioneer addressing processes and scientific approaches to corn improvement.
