Susan Bunz, Vice President, Pioneer Human Resources

As vice president, Pioneer Human Resources, Susan is accountable for all elements of the Human Resources function for the Pioneer business and is a member of the Enterprise Leadership Council.

Susan started her career at Pioneer in 2001, serving as corporate counsel. In this role, she provided legal counsel for Human Resources, Safety, Health and Environment, Corporate Services, Workers’ Compensation, Detasseling and Seasonal Labor and Government Affairs.

Prior to joining Pioneer, Susan served as assistant general counsel at GuideOne Mutual Insurance Company and general counsel at Taylor Ball Construction. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, with a major in communication studies. She received her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Drake University Law School, Des Moines, Iowa.

She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and Missouri State Bar Association, president of the Waukee School Foundation , member of the Waukee School Board and is involved in her church’s youth activities.
