| Program Overview
The Pioneer Management Assistant Program (MAP) provides career-track opportunities for new graduates from a variety of disciplines. These include agriculture, engineering, transportation, and business curriculums. You'll apply your education and get the training you need to prepare you for future management positions within Pioneer.
As a management assistant, you'll be a part of the Supply Management organization, responsible for worldwide parent and commercial seed production. You'll be assigned to one of three areas within Supply Management: operations, supply planning & logistics, or engineering.
You'll have a chance to lead projects and gain an understanding of the Pioneer organization and structure. You'll attend meetings with upper management. And you'll learn about other areas of the company such as sales, marketing, seed quality, and data management through formal programs and work projects.

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in agriculture, engineering, business, or related areas with a broad interest in the agriculture industry

As a management assistant, you'll be assigned to one of the following areas that best match your skills and interests and meet our organizational needs:
Operations - Plant Production Operations
Assignments relate to seed production including planting, detasseling, drying, conditioning, grower relations, and shipping.
Supply Planning & Logistics - Production Forecasting / Logistics
Assignments relate to acreage planning, parent sourcing, volume planning or information communication. They may also involve processes within logistics, testing and quality interpretation, product release, inventory and allocations, market specifications and distribution.
Engineering - Technology Integration Services
Project work involves the design and development of equipment or the continuous improvement of processes in production research and seed production.

Management assistants may be placed at the business headquarters in the Des Moines, Iowa area or in one of the 46 North American production locations producing corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, sorghum, or sunflowers. Travel averages 10-15 overnights per year, though this may vary.

Most participants accept management positions within Pioneer, but there is no guarantee. Success depends on your performance and skills, and the availability of an appropriate position.
