Fungicide Technology

Spray coverage, nozzles, pressure settings and ground speed are key when applying fungicide to help manage ASR. Learn more about nozzle selection, spray coverage and the optimal location to target the soybean plant with the fungicide.

Quick Tips – Fungicide Application

Spray Coverage
A fungicide must cover all leaves of the plant to be effective. According to DuPont Fungicide Development Specialist Alberto Marcon, growers will need better spray coverage when applying fungicides to control ASR than when applying glyphosate herbicides.

Ground Speed
DuPont Fungicide Development Specialist Alberto Marcon says a ground speed up to 12 miles per hour will ensure effectiveness. For specific recommendations on fungicide mixture, rate per acre and application speed, check with your equipment and fungicide manufacturers.
