Pioneer has a well-established seed corn business in Brazil, dating back to 1972.

Pioneer entered the soybean seed market in 1999 with the purchase of Brazilian company Dois Marcos. Our soybean business is focused in the central and northern regions of the country, where soybeans area growth has occurred.

The Pioneer sales network includes 104 dealers across seven sales regions.

Since 2001, Pioneer has undertaken an aggressive expansion in research and supply operations to develop the infrastructure to support the growing market.

Pioneer currently employs about 370 full time employees in 10 locations across Brazil, including:

• Administrative headquarters and corn production facility in Santa Cruz.
• Corn production plants in Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa and Itumbiara and Formosa.
• Corn research stations in Passo Fundo, Toledo, Itumbiara, Balsas, and Planaltina.
• Soybean production plant in Planaltina.
• Soybean research station in Planaltina.
• Research station in Sorriso.
