Clubroot is a serious disease threat
In parts of Western Canada clubroot is a serious disease threat, particularly in Alberta, where it can cause up to 80% yield loss in infected canola fields.
The Pioneer Protector® clubroot resistance trait in high performing canola hybrids provides several benefits to growers:
Multi-race clubroot resistance built right into the seed
High level of resistance to the most prevalent clubroot race – Race 3 along with resistance to races 2, 5, 6, and 8
Helps manage clubroot in your canola
Clubroot is a soil-borne disease so growing a canola hybrid with the Pioneer Protector® Clubroot resistant trait will not increase the risk of clubroot resistance on your field
Keeps land infection to a minimum
- Planting Pioneer Protector® Clubroot resistance hybrids keeps clubroot infection from building up on your fields
- Important to maintain a 1 in 4 year rotation in clubroot confirmed areas
