Delayed Corn Planting Considerations

When rainfall significantly delays field and planting operations, switching to early maturity hybrids may be considered to ensure timely crop maturation. However, results from more than 18 years of Pioneer planting date studies indicate that growers should plant full-season hybrids until late May.
