Objectives
- Evaluate corn silage yield and starch content responses to narrow-row configurations.
- Determine if there are hybrid interactions among different row widths.

Key Points
- Yield and quality responses appear to be hybrid-dependent.
- Plant population was not a factor in this experiment, further research is needed to evaluate interactions of row width and population.
Results
- Though not statistically different, P1376XR had incrementally greater yield in 15-inch row spacing compared to 30-inch rows, with a yield advantage of 1.2 tons/acre.
- P1376XR in 30-inch rows demonstrated a 2.3 ton/acre yield advantage when compared to twin rows.
- P1498HR demonstrated a significant 1.8 ton advantage in 30-inch rows when compared to twin rows (P=0.04).
- Starch differences among row widths were not significant.
