Blended soybean research plot in Mount Vernon, S.D. (Sept. 18, 2013).

Study Description

  • Trials were placed at sites where yield may be reduced by 1 or more of the following: iron deficiency chlorosis, soil variability, soybean cyst nematode or drainage issues.
  • Soybean varieties selected to manage field variability were of similar relative maturity.

Results

  • Blended and single varieties yielded similarly across locations, with an average yield of
50.3 bu/acre for single varieties and 50.7 bu/acre for blended varieties.
  • Blended variety trials will continue in 2014.

Research conducted by Pioneer field agronomists and written by Jim Ruhland as part of Pioneer Agronomy Science field trials.

Pioneer® brand products are provided subject to the terms and conditions of purchase which are part of the labeling and purchase documents. 2013 data are based on average of all comparisons made in 12 locations through November 2013. Multi-year and multi-location is a better predictor of future performance. Do not use these or any other data from a limited number of trials as a significant factor in product selection. Product responses are variable and subject to a variety of environmental, disease, and pest pressures. Individual results may vary.

Glyphosate Tolerant

R - Contains the Glyphosate Tolerant trait. Always follow grain marketing, stewardship practices and pesticide label directions. Varieties with the Glyphosate Tolerant trait (including those designated by the letter “R” in the product number) contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate herbicides. Glyphosate herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate.
