Optimum^® AcreMax^® insect protection provides a single-bag, multiple modes of action solution for above-ground insect protection. It contains 95 percent of a Pioneer^® brand hybrid with two modes of action above ground insect protection (HX1, YGCB) blended with 5 percent in-the-bag refuge of a similar non-Bt hybrid with herbicide tolerance (RR2 or RR2/LL) to meet corn borer refuge requirements.

Optimum^® AcreMax^® 1 insect protection was the industry’s first in-the-bag solution for corn rootworm refuge. This solution eliminates the challenges associated with planting an in-field or adjacent corn rootworm refuge. Each product contains 90 percent of a Pioneer^® brand hybrid with Herculex^® XTRA (CRW/CB/LL/RR2) insect protection blended with 10 percent of a similar Pioneer hybrid with the Herculex I insect protection trait (CB/LL/RR2), which serves as the corn rootworm refuge in the seed bag. The 20 percent structured corn borer refuge may be planted up to ½ mile away. This helps you maximize field-by-field productivity and increase yield potential in fields with corn rootworm pressure by placing in-plant protection where needed.

Each in-the-bag product contains a Pioneer^® brand hybrid with three trusted and industry-leading traits (HXX, YGCB) blended with 5 percent in-the-bag refuge of a similar non-Bt hybrid with herbicide tolerance (RR2 or RR2/LL) which satisfies all corn borer and corn rootworm refuge requirements in the Corn Belt. This solution provides simplicity and choice to maximize your yields.

Optimum^® AcreMax^® Leptra^® products provide strong above-ground insect control with a superior level of efficacy against ear-feeding pests for cleaner ears and improved grain quality. These products provide protection against a broad spectrum of pests, including corn earworm, European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, fall armyworm, black cutworm and western bean cutworm. Each product contains 95 percent of a Pioneer^® brand hybrid with three modes of above-ground insect protection (HX1, YGCB, AVBL), blended with 5 percent in-the-bag refuge of a similar non-Bt hybrid with herbicide tolerance (RR2 or RR2/LL). A 20 percent separate structured refuge is required in EPA-designated cotton counties.
