Proven across the UK and Ireland, our range of Pioneer® Maize hybrids delivers choice backed by extensive trialling.

PACTS® results now available for Pioneer® maize hybrids

We’re pleased to share the latest results from the Pioneer Accurate Crop Testing System (PACTS®) maize trials. Conducted across a wide range of favourable and less favourable sites throughout the UK and Ireland, these trials provide robust, independently generated data to help growers select the right hybrid for their farm and objectives.

This year’s PACTS results highlight the outstanding performance and agronomic strengths of five key Pioneer maize hybrids:

P68106: New for 2026, this extra early hybrid delivered the highest dry matter content of any hybrid in the Pioneer range, averaging 40.5% across 19 PACTS locations. It combines extremely good early vigour, strong Eyespot resistance (6.6) and excellent starch content, making it an ideal option for growers seeking early harvest flexibility and grain production potential.

P7179: An extra early hybrid with the earliest grain maturity in the Pioneer portfolio. P7179 has produced consistently high starch contents across both favourable and less favourable sites, alongside excellent Eyespot resistance (8.0). Its adaptability and reliable performance make it a strong choice where early maturity is a priority.

P7326: The biggest-selling Pioneer maize hybrid in Great Britain during 2025. Known for its excellent cold tolerance, rapid dry down and reliable performance across a wide range of environments, P7326 continues to deliver high starch content silage and dependable yields, particularly on less favourable sites.

P7034: Pioneer’s original M3 hybrid, recognised for its exceptionally high levels of rumen-degradable starch. Extensive PACTS testing has demonstrated its ability to deliver high-quality forage with excellent starch availability, helping maximise feed efficiency and animal performance.

P72847: Another exciting new addition for 2026, this extra early hybrid has demonstrated impressive yield potential, delivering an 8% dry matter yield advantage over the control hybrid on favourable sites. With very high dry matter content and rapid dry down at maturity, P72847 offers an excellent balance of yield, quality and harvest security.

These hybrids have been rigorously evaluated across multiple seasons, locations and growing conditions, providing growers with the confidence to select genetics that best match their farm’s requirements, harvest strategy and forage production goals.
