Advantages of the Enlist E3™ Soybean System in Eastern Canada

Current Weed Challenges in Eastern Canada:

  • The number of herbicide tolerant weeds in Eastern Canada is increasing
  • Species of particular importance include Canada Fleabance, Waterhemp, and Palmer Amaranth
  • For example, Glyphosate-resistant waterhemp was first discovered in Lambton County in 2014.  Since then, it has moved 700 kilometres east to Leeds & Grenville County. It has been found in 14 counties across the province. In eight of the counties, four-way resistance has been confirmed, making the weeds resistant to Group 2, 5, 9 and 14 herbicides.
  • Crop rotation, field scouting, correct weed ID, and pre plant burndowns or pre emerge herbicide applications are key to managing these weeds.

How Does the Enlist System help?

  • Enlist E3™ soybeans are soybeans with high yield potential and a robust herbicide tolerance.
  • When paired with Enlist™ herbicides, part of the Enlist™ weed control system, you get a better low drift, near-zero volatility solution that stays where it’s sprayed.
  • The Enlist™ weed control system integrates seed and chemistry to provide you with better yields and better weed control that is better for your farm and your community.
  • To tackle today's complex assortment of weeds with herbicide resistance, a multi-mode of action program approach is recommended to maximize weed control.
  • Enlist™ herbicides can be used in Enlist E3™ soybeans with confidence from the pre-plant burndown to the R2 stage of soybean growth.

What are Enlist E3™ Soybeans?

  • The Enlist E3™ trait is a molecular stack that provides high-yielding genetics and industry-leading, multi-mode of action herbicide tolerance.
  • Enlist E3 soybeans provide tolerance to three common herbicides – 2,4-D choline, glyphosate and glufosinate.
  • During the growing season, multiple tolerances help control the toughest weeds. But in the future, this limits the ability for herbicide resistant weeds to develop. It’s effective and responsible.

The Power of Pioneer

  • We’ve conducted over 300 on-farm trials of Enlist E3™ soybeans to learn what works best for every possible challenge and acre. Each of our Enlist E3 soybeans are backed by the nation’s largest localized research and on-farm testing program.

Enlist Herbicides

  • Enlist Duo™ herbicide is a convenient blend of 2,4-D choline and glyphosate.
  • Enlist™ 1 herbicide is a stand-alone 2,4-D choline formulation that allows for additional flexibility to tank mix with other products to customize applications.
  • Individually, they each have their own strengths. Together, they are part of the most advanced weed control system known to soybeans.
  • Colex-D™ technology featured in both Enlist Duo™ and Enlist™ 1 herbicides, delivers near-zero volatility, minimized potential for physical drift, low odour, and improved handling characteristics.  The drift reduction from Colex-D™ technology combined with low-drift nozzles to cut drift by as much as 90% compared with traditional 2,4-D.
