Objectives
- Evaluate seed treatment effects on grain yield among selected Pioneer® brand soybean varieties in Ohio and Michigan (Figure 1).
- Measure yield at high pressure bean leaf beetle (BLB) locations.

Results
- Although most 2013 locations had low to moderate seedling disease and insect pressure, average yield improved with fungicide treatment (Figure 2).

- At locations where bean leaf beetle (BLB) pressure was greater than 10%, there was a significant yield advantage with insecticide seed treatment (Figure 3).

These test results demonstrate significant value of Pioneer Premium Seed Treatment under both moderate and high disease and insect pressure.

Varieties with the Glyphosate Tolerant trait (including those designated by the letter “R” in the product number) contain genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate herbicides. Glyphosate herbicides will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate.
