Pioneer Announces Once-in-a-Century Opportunity With Golden Seed Incentive

13 Winners Will Experience an Immersive Seed Tour

JOHNSTON, Iowa -- As Pioneer prepares to celebrate its 100-year anniversary in 2026, farmers can join the festivities by planting the 100th season of Pioneer® brand corn seed with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to strike gold.

Dubbed the Golden Seed incentive, 13 winners will open a Pioneer PROBOX® or seed bag to reveal corn seed with gold-colored seed treatment. Golden Seed winners will receive an immersive seed tour where they will experience the journey of Pioneer product development. The trip will include the research facilities at Corteva Agriscience’s global seed business location in Johnston, Iowa, and seed product development facilities in Hawaii in early 2027.

Randomly selected winners will be announced as the Golden Seed is discovered next spring when product is delivered for the 2026 planting season. Farmers who receive Golden Seed should contact their local Pioneer sales representative.

“Next season, Pioneer celebrates a century of innovation that revolutionized farming beginning with hybrid seed corn and a farmer-first philosophy that underscores everything we do,” said Brandon Walter, Pioneer Corn Marketing Portfolio Leader. “Looking back at our history, we are reminded that 100 begins with one – none of this would be possible without the collaboration and dedication of each farmer customer. As we celebrate this incredible milestone, the Golden Seed incentive is one way to create a memorable season for our farmers that will launch us into the next 100 years.”

The official 100-year anniversary takes place in April 2026, but Pioneer will celebrate through the 2026 seed sales and planting season. The brand’s longevity is rooted in innovation that combines the strength of global resources with local breeding and agronomic expertise. With one of the largest germplasm libraries in the world today, Pioneer has significantly accelerated the product development process, enabling the brand to test more traits and bring superior seed to market faster.

Pioneer is the No. 1 seed corn brand in the U.S. by market share, with its top 40 most popular corn products delivering a 10.4 bu/A yield advantage over the competition in 2024 with a 73% win rate.1,2 Pioneer has been the leading soybean brand in the U.S. for decades, delivering yield performance year after year. The new era of Z-Series soybeans, launched for the 2024 season, delivered a 3.5 bu/A yield advantage over all competitors.3

“For Pioneer, innovation is our origin story. It’s in our name. It’s who we are at our core and who we will be in the future. Our promise is the continued, relentless pursuit of what’s next to empower farmers so they can grow more from every acre,” said Walter. “That’s our driving goal as we look to the 2026 season and celebrate this momentous occasion with the Golden Seed incentive.”
