Pioneer® brand Plenish High Oleic Soybeans

Long known for their yields and oil, Pioneer brand Plenish high oleic soybeans have 75% oleic acid, as compared to conventional soybeans with 22%. The unique qualities of Plenish can also equate to higher milk fat in dairy cows and lower feed costs for dairy producers. Here's how:

  1. Linoleic acid has been studied to cause milk fat depression (MFD) in dairy cows.
  2. Plenish high oleic soybeans offer a high oleic fatty acid option for dairies to better maximize milk fat production, which means they have less linoleic acid content compared to traditional commodity soybeans. This reduces milk fat depression.
  3. Plenish high oleic soybeans can help increase milk fat and decrease ration cost to minimize off-farm feed costs.

In some instances, Plenish high oleic soybeans can return from 40 cents to as much as $1 per cow, per day* to your operations.

Benefits of Roasting

Roasting soybeans for dairy cattle improves digestibility and increases their protein and fat content. Roasting also reduces moisture, which prevents spoilage and extends shelf life.
